Don't think I'd go that far - they're both good though

Blasphemy! If you combined the talent of every member of Staind it wouldn't come remotely close to any one member of Tool. Completely different league of musical talent!

Let's not be ridiculous. Different types of music, different types of bands - both good for different reasons/in their own way. I personally, am not a huge Tool fan - little too funky/musical for me.

Not really too far fetched. Staind is talented, but as far as actual musical capabilities, Tool really is in a laeegue of their own. Especailly their drummer!

Carey is a sick and unique drummer.....I do I have to say that I liked their orignal bass player better than their current...but as long as you have the duo of Maynard and Jones collaborating all is good. Did you see that they announced a few shows this summer? I think I heard they were doing like 5-10 lives shows - but haven't seen anything come up for the west coast yet.
