  • My recent blackberry frustration...?

When I log onto SM and few a thread it won't update that thread unless I remove the battery. It will show in the "new posts" option that there are more posts since I last looked, but when I open the thread it only shows me up to what I have previously seen.

I have problems with sm on mine also. For example it will show the new posts and show who posted last on the thread but if you view the thread it won't show the most recent posts. Not somethin that happens all the time but still happens.

That's what happens with me but I have to take the battery out to reset it. Although I just realized each morning It shows the new posts without me taking out the battery.

I have att. It's got to be some sort of cookie thing with the phone. Try taking your battery out for a minute and see if that fixes it. I also noticed that once you are in the thread the quick post is already activated or something. Like it's try to post without you pressing anything. Right when you hit "Post quick reply" you will see a series of dots kind of going in a circle. That's what it's constantly doing inside a thread on the blackberry.

                          this site is great.

To clean your phone...From the home screen...Press "ALT" and hold it while pressing the letter "L" and then "G" twice..An "even log (warning) will appear...press your left button next to your track ball and "Clear log"....then under your "options"....Go to "Security Options" and click the "Memory Cleaning"...Enable it and save it when you exit out...Make sure you have the Icon show on home screen...It's also an option....Once you've done that...Go to where all of your icons are and find the icon that looks like a typewriter...If you select the right one, it will say "Memory cleaner"...Select it and let it do the job on it's own...
Got that set up thanks. I tried to use those sites you gave me before, but my inexperience with the blackberry makes it difficult to set the right search parameters to find what I need on those sites.

So will this make SM show everything on it's own, or do I still need to clean the cookies?
