    listen -

when it comes to health issues you should always get a second opinion ! i am not talking about the common cold but issues that can permanetly effect the rest of your life !!

last year my wife had some pain in and around her cervix area . it became more painful when she trained so she went to her doctor whom she has been going to for many years - he told her it was a mild hernia and to back off of training which she did and it did feel a little better but still bothered her so she went back and was told she would have to live with the mild pain - case closed in his mind !!

thats where we made the mistake of not going for the second opinion !!! remember doctors are human and will fuck up !!!

well my wife got her period last month it was more painful then usual but sudsided when she stopped bleeding . 1 week later she was spotting she was wtf - then it got to the point where she was bleeding everyday [ she didnt tell me this and i was wondering why no sex ] she made an appointment with a new doc and went to see HER [ i put her in caps because i feel a women will take more time to be complete when it comes to women matters !! just my opinion ]

well they she found a tumor the size of a grapefruit !! my wife told me wed night - they where going to wait till we got back from our cruise at the end of the month to go in and get it out because my wife is or was just spotting lightly and with little pain -- the last couple days shes been bleeding pretty heavy and is in some real discomfort though . so she is going to push to get things done before we go so she can relax and recoup on the cruise -

they are not sure till they get in there of how much of her they will have to remove - shes devastated - we didnt plan on having anymore kids but its very different when the decision of never having more children is taken away from you - we as men dont realize how important that is to a woman !!!!

i have been very insensitive to her weight issue this past year . one of the reasons why she cant pull the weight off is because of the tumor so i feel like an ass about giving her such a difficult time about it

they are going to try and avoid a full hysterectomy . they will beable to judge better when they go in !! it could have been avoided if we went for that second opinion a year ago they feel it has doubled in size since then !

she has asked me to go and get a vasectomy said it would kill her if we ever split to see me have children with someone else . i was planning on getting it done this year anyway because i DO NOT want anymore kids !!!!!! i am almost 40 and set in my ways my 2 girls are at the age where i can pay the one to watch the other while i go to the gym ,ride my bike or we go out !!

no more fucking diaper changing for me fuuuuuuuucccckkkkk that :)

bottom line is -- when in doubt or just to be damn sure about things concerning your health --- go for that second opinion !!! you never know it could be nothing or it could just save your life

my mom had an issue similar to this but not as severe.

she had a lot of pain in her lower abdomen and she just brushed it off as nothing. she got her period and it lasted 2 weeks (which is wayyy longer than ever before). she went to her ob/gyn and she said it was just normal pain and that it could be that my mother was pre-menopausal. the doctor told my mom to take ibuprofin whenever the pain gets unbearable (the doctor even prescribed 500mg ibuprofin pills).

a week later her bleeding didn't stop and the pain worsened. my mom went to a MALE ob/gyn (just to say that sometimes women feel that they know what another female is going through and my not give the proper attention to details) and they found a cyst the size of a grapefruit attached to her ovary. they said this was a cyst that was slowly sucking blood out of the surrounding veins and had been there for a long time.

she had surgery done to remove the cyst and everything went well. the doctor recommended 1 week of minimal activity (going up and down the stairs twice a day max) and then the following week was moderate activity.

some doctors are just retarded though. i had a doctor say i had to get my tonsils removed and when i went to another doctor, they told me i had a severe throat infection and surgery wasn't necessary.

as far and male v. female, that's a hard judgement.

best of luck to you both! i'm sure you'll both pull through.

Holy shit BigScott, That is crazy. First I hope everything worksout for the best with your wife and second I think I would slap my orignal Doc right in back of the head and call him stupid.
You should go get sniped right before she has surgery to make her feel better. It seems important to her. Then you both can eat and drink be very happy and fat on your cruize.
