  • The Art of War - Sun Tzu

    Who has read the book?

I just watched a 2 hour history show about how many of the worlds famous battles were won or lost based on Sun tzu guidelines.

I had heard of him before but I cant say that I had paid much attention.

After watching the show, this guy is my kinda dude. Thinking about getting the book, just wanted some feedback.

Bah. I bet if I wanted to I could set forth a rather general principle for x occurances that lead to y results. The problem is, IMO, all the rules are not held in all instances. People give it a lot of lee-way.

I read it for a military theory class I had at state.

lmao, i know right. this motherfucker hasnt a clue about his own life, and yet he picks apart faults in the greatest leaders / strategist.

chris, have you figured out how to move to Europe while moving to California while joining the marines at the same time?

fuck if you were a general you would have your troops in fucken delaware while the war was in texas because, "you couldn't decide" .

"general principle" my ass, you cant figure how to take a shit right.

Don't as for an opinion on a book if you don't want to hear the truth. Its true, the metrics he uses are not applicable to every type of battle.
