  • Connecting notebook computer to internet via iphone.

Is there a way that I can connect my notebook computer to the iphone to browse the internet?

Will be away for a few days and would like to be able to get online with my notebook using the iphones internet.

I know there must be some way, cant figure it out.

I think you can only do it if you have jailbroken your iphone.

    If you did, read this:

How to Tether and Connect iPhone (1G, 2G and 3G) as Modem for Internet Gateaway » My Digital Life

my e71 and macbook can be tethered via bluetooth and then i can use my phone as a router.

as for the iphone, i tried to connect it with my macbook and it'll say "connected" but it won't really browse the interweb. scrumhalf is right in saying in order for you to do anything productive with your iphone, you'd have to jailbreak it first. that is, if you're willing to take the risk.

The next update for the OS will have tethering in it. If you can hold off a month or two for when it comes out then dont bother jailbreaking it.

Jailbreak ones are the BEST... i would get one and just unlock it and put my own programs in there

I was never an iPhone hater but I certainly was a skeptic until my wife got one and I played around with it. To say that it is a thing of beauty is an understatement. Some day, perhaps even very soon, the iPhone will be taught in industrial design classes as an example of the pinnacle of product design. Everything is so superbly thought out, it is truly an amazing piece of hardware.

That's why he needs Internet on the computer. He is incapable of pleasuring a woman.
