Ipod Touch

So dbj was nice enough to get me one. I got it yesterday and i spend the whole day getting apps and playing with it. Its not a bad thing, it was for FREE so i don't mind.

Apple has a deal out: If you buy a macbook you will get a ipod touch 8GB for free.

So she got the 15.4" Mackbook pro and I got the Itouch


Anyone recommend anything to I can do to this thing, not jailbreaking it yet, maybe down the road.

It has some cool games but pretty much a its just a cool looking ipod. Way to big and heavy for pratcial use. I would sell it and get the new ipod shuffle that thing is so damn small its crazy. I have the old shuffle and I dont even notice it when I run. The new one is about 1" by 3/4" that is small.

It has some cool games but pretty much a its just a cool looking ipod. Way to big and heavy for pratcial use. I would sell it and get the new ipod shuffle that thing is so damn small its crazy. YES, true very true. Some of those applications are nice and practical, but some of them just make me wonder.

Well thing is, it was free, and i kind of don't mind carrying it around on campus and keeping myself busy on it.

My nokia E71 does some of the same features except having applications like the ipod touch.

I already have the 5th generation Ipod from 2 years ago and I am happy with it. Its a 80gb video ipod, and i only use it in the gym. It still looks new, lol

Some good apps if you have wifi are pandora and iheartradio. I have 4 pages of apps on the iPhone and use about 3 of them.

well, they can't fit a big one into it yet. and they don't want to compromise the size that everyone has come to love (thin and light) for a bigger harddrive. but i am against ssd's in everything other than mp3s. they have an option to install them in some laptops which makes me wonder because they cost more for less storage space.

Ya some of those apps are stupid, and are fun for like 5min.

I got the police scanner app, and i was listening to Detroit police. Deleted it after 5min, got stupid.

I got pandora, haven't set it up yet.

SSD will be all you can get in a few years. They are ridiculously priced right now, but shouldn't take them long to drop.

Its not the size of the solid-state drive that is the problem, it is the cost. Also, if solid-state drives are less reliable than their counterpart, IMO, even less reliable.
