  • Really people, come on now...

I have been searching for a 1999 M3 since I sold my 1 series. I have few criteria, mainly color: estoril blue, dakar yellow, Imolad Red, or techno violet. This guy posted his car yesterday. I was about to PM him, and make an offer when I saw his asking price of $18,500!

Seriously people, there is a market set price for these tinker toys and it is significantly below that. :wack: My Dad just sold his M5 about a year ago for 5k more than that. :wack:

You sold your 1 series? I thought you were in love with that car?

Good luck man. Those M3's should be lower than 18,500.

Before I bought my jetta, I was looking at. '93 M3 sedan manual, 100k original miles. My mechanic was selling it for $1500, and said it needs 2k worth of work. Kind of wish I gotten that instead

I just needed to vent, I can't say anything there. I'm a mod, and its gotten me in trouble before. :wack: People are so stupid with these cars, whoever buys one post January 2009 for >$15,000 should beat them self to death. I would pay $15k for a pristine example, that was modded and had tons of general preventative maint. done.

I'm only looking to spend 10 ish, and I've found some nice ones within a standard deviation of that.

I'm in the same boat as you, looking for a E36 M3 as a second car so I don't want to spend a ton. I found a few but they are either auto, high mileage, or priced WAYYYY to high! I had a 97 Estoril with black interior that I sold a few years back and I regret it :(

Things were easier when I didn't have to worry about price, so sue me.

Mileage is no biggie if you find the right seller.

That's not true, after a certain mile car becomes a money pit.

No, that is not true. It depends on what the previous owner has done.

900,000 very delicate miles is still more trouble then its worth.

That is an unrealistic number. A car with 150k mix with thee right owner has had preventative maintenance.

its realistic, cars have been driven that many miles. thus i am literally correct once again and your point is flawed. :retard:
