Do people on Harley style bikes think they are cool

I know some people on here have that style bike, but what is it with having to speed off or rev real loud all the time? There is this bike around my neighborhood that high revs it out of here every time. Personally I'm not impressed or even think it sounds cool. Besides that, is it fun to disturb and disrespect every person around?

I'm sure just like anything there are bad apples. I have seen a lot of guy on those style bikes just cruising and not disturbing anyone.

To me it seems like the people who just ride there bikes instead of revving the engine are the minority. I understand that people like different sounds. but it obvious how loud and obnoxious it is. Would those same people blast their stereos because they like the song...

Well, loud pipes, save lifes is what they believe. Alot of times you dont see a motorcycle in your blindspot or something but you will for sure hear it.

i hate LOUD Harleys. I prefer a crotch rocket that is loud, sounds better :)

Dont know if you know anything about bikes but when you just start up a harley you have to rev it a fair bit to warm it up.

I don't think it's *just* Harley's or any one group. My ex drives a GXSR and has an aftermarket pipe that is obnoxiously loud. Part of it is having to warm up the bike, but obviously not most of it. They truly just like the sound I think.

the mass majority of people on the roads are more inclined to see a car before they see a bike -- loud pipes get your attention !!!!

loud pipes do save lives -- loud and obnoxious made you notice !

i have rhineharts on my fatboy -- fucking loud and love it !!! everything that a biker can do to make themselves seen is a benefit to that biker !!! i was almost killed 3 years ago so the louder and more obnoxious the better imo -

on a sidenote -- looking like we will be fianlly settling that case in next couple weeks -- my fatboy might be going and a ironhorse texas chopper might be taking her place

Yes but you can notice a bike in a residential area without running it to the red line before shifting.

The warming them up thing is a crock of shit. If it is carb then there is a choke. If it is efi then the computer does it all for you. My harley's have all been relatively loud but I do try to keep quiet in residential areas and I dont generally make noise for no reason. Leaving fast on the other hand. When theres a place to do it thats just part of the fun of riding a bike.

I have a Harley and I make it a point to rev it up as loud as I can get it when stopped next to cars at a red light!!!!!!!

I love it when I notice people pissed and rolling up their windows!!!:clapback:
