I was 18 and my mother was my best friend..My father narrowily survived his fight with cancer two years prior!! It's really twisted that this happens to loved ones like our friends and family and not the scum of the earth that decieve, steal, rape, and murder...

Back on topic - at the time my mother was deemed terminal, she did try and turn to a holistic approach. I really don't remember what it was called, but a gentleman came to our home and basically examined her. From what I remember, he focused a lot on her hands and how they responded to certain actions... I remember this guy having a HUGE chart of all natural supplements and herbs and he went through one by one with my mother. He wound up putting her on a shit load of stuff found at GNC and elsewhere. In the end, she was too weak to take all these pills each day... The guy claimed at the time that people have beaten cancer following such programs when doctors said they couldn't. I personally was never really sold on this guy and his practice, at least not in the condition my mother was in.

Sorry for such vague information but I know what you're going through right now and remember looking for ANY ray of hope at the end of the tunnel so hopefully this provides one. If you'd like me to try and find more information about what my mother attempted, I will gladly ask my father.. shoot me an email @ [email protected]

Dnuggets - thanks for your post. Iam sorry for your loss and pain. I couldn't agree with you more - why does it happen to loved ones and not the scum of the earth. My mom is a teacher and is loved by the community. She doesn't want people to know because she doesn't want people to be sad. Like you, my mom is my best friend and I am not ready to say goodbye to her yet. She has too much living to do, seeing her grandchildren grow and spending her life with my dad.
Unfortunately, I haven't been around lately because she was in the hospital all last week and her latest scan showed that in the last three weeks her cancer has spread from her stomach to her lungs. I knew along the cancer was terminal but they said she had a few years. This has all changed and is now months. I am not trying to make the most of each day with her and spending as much time with her and the family as possible. A disneyland trip is right around the corner since she wants to make sure she shares that with the grandchildren.
It certainly puts life in perspective and makes me realize that work will always be there, family and loved ones will not.
RocketW19 - thanks for the wishes that things are going good in my camp. Trying to make them that way.

Sorry to hear this Norkill, the one thing I remember hearing is how important anti oxidant foods like cabbage can be. I remember hearing of on lady that ate nothing but cabbage, boiled, and drank the boil juice also once cooled and her cancer went into regression. Not trying to suggest thisn as a cure just passing on what I'd read. Sadly its something we all will probably face one day, that or heart or brain. best wishes and prayers
