You can't be serious. Iran is far more socially and politically unstable than the United States. There are not rigged election in this country. We have the problem of only two choices. The majority of Americans don't agree with either solidly, so they choose the one that is closest to their beliefs. This leads to close elections. Again, you don't realize that things are not so simple.

Thing is when GW Bush got in and many shouted scam, it was never thought that this would create a serious change so that why people didn't protest to the same level as is reported in Iran. Whereas in such a relatively radical country as Iran its know that this could have big consequences from the get go.

Not saying that GW Bush election didn't have serious effects, just that people probably would't have thought it at the time since they're so used to things.

The irony of all the current concern over iran is that Sadam Hussein later told the FBI that he only pretended he had WMD to keep Iran back so as he didn't appear weak. Not saying he didn't absolutely need to be deposed but just seems very ironic.
