  • Things that are now obsolete

What things do you remember growing up that has now become obsolete?

chris, you starting to piss me off again. you are once again turning into the guy that comes into a room where everyone is smiling and by the time you leave everyone is depressed. you know god damn well the meaning of this thread, stop changing the rules to fit what you want to type. fuck dude, you wanna list shit that will be obsolete in the future, lets just list every fucking items in the world shall we?

its about what is obsolete now, how the fuck can you say a DVD is obsolete when its 99% of home movie sales across the globe? Blu-Ray, may not be what DVD is but as of right now its sales are increasing not going away. CD, once again, maybe in 10 years but not right now.

you have a point on things like CD stores and news papers. those things are obviously headed that way.

the disks, agreed, they are gone along with consumer film cameras.

You agreed with all my choices, except for the DVD and Blu-Ray. I don't understand how I was that over stated. I have DVD's, but I don't use them. I use digital movies more and more.

On your same point, many people still have tube, non-HD tvs.

i disagreed with your first 3. not pissed because you are wrong but pissed because you tried taking the thread in a new direction. lets play "lets guess what technology will fail in the future" game. thats not the point of the thread dick ass. lol.

I never use digital movies, when ever i watch a movie its blu-ray. the whole blu-ray quality digital movie right to your tv has a LONG way to go for mass market appeal.

no, tube tv's arent sold anymore. they are dead. none hdtv's, i dunno but i havent seen any of them sold lately.

the shit you listed is still being sold, DVD's sell in the millions each week, blu-ray in the 10's of thousands etc..

So, because I said Blu-Ray you got upset? I'll edit it out.

I mean, honestly, you have CD's, but how often do you use them? I have a phone book and VHS tapes still, but that doesn't mean I use them. The CD is obsolete due to the MP3 player, IMO.

I took it as things you don't use anymore because technology has passed them by. I still get a phonebook, you can still buy a map. People just do not use them anymore.

That being said, I agree a lot of people are moving to LCD / Plasma TVs in place of tube tvs, but many people still have tube tvs.
