So we went and saw it tonight.

I would have to agree with DNA about the very ending. Kinda anticlimactic.

Also feel like the autobots dont match the power of the deceptacons.

lots of action, not much holding it together though.

Ok, I think it is mostly safe to talk about the movie now. So what was it about the ending that was so bad? From what I understand the script is already being written for #3 and trying to find writers for #4.

Crave Online: What was your inspiration for the new twin Autobots?

Michael Bay: Well, I wanted two kind of younger Transformers, but with those two guys we used the guy who played Spongebob and another actor. What's interesting when you work with voice actors is, especially with the twins, they did a lot of improv for their parts. We liked their improv and from there, we would animate for their stuff. When you do character animation when you're building a character, it's not like an actor where you shoot the scene and you got it and you move on. With character animation you shoot a bit of the dialogue, you work with the animators and then a little bit more of the dialogue and you keep going back and forth and it kind of builds until you finally have the shot that you want. But I just wanted something that would appeal to younger kids and it seemed to really gravitate to those two characters. It's like the little engine that could with the Devastator scene.

well there was a fucken hour long battle to wake up prime and then when they finally wake him up the battle is over in like a minute. its like... why couldnt the other autobots do what he did.

and where was his backup the whole movie? everytime prime fought he was taking on like 2-3 decepticons while the other autobots were just driving around in car form.

and since when can the bots take the form of a human.

sorry but this movie was shit. great action but nothing else.

IIRC she is like that in the first movie too. I agree with you on that point though.

American movies 101. The bad guy is always: stronger, faster, more intelligents, or better. Good guy wins because of purity of soul and 'goodness'.

she seemed way worse in this movie then the first to me.

i know the movie was trying to make her funny but i found myself just wanting to kick her in the gullet.

i get it but there needs to be some innovation and new ideas for the autobots. they have kind of gotten boring for me.

take batman for example, same general guy but has new tricks up his sleeve each movie but with a strong enemy at the same time.

Batman is different. He isn't a pure form of 'American Hero'. You can use him as that, because his plot line sets him up that way. You can also explore the deep trenches of the psychological effects of his parents death and weave psychological responses into his actions in the movie. It doesn't leave for the same classic 'American Hero' though.

IMO, they are two completely different story archs that allow for much different movie types.

different i know. dosent mean the autobots cant improve with new characters, "add ons" like where prime puts on that other guys gear etc..

yea, but i mean even before and after that. just fucken stupid. and the father... what a pussy he is.

the more i think about it the more this movie sucked. its like they spent years doing the CGI stuff and making the epic battles and then at the last week of production tossed in a story.
