You're fundamentally changing the character and his traits to make him something he isn't. I understand what you are saying, but IMO its just no in the marks.

the more i think about it the more this movie sucked. its like they spent years doing the CGI stuff and making the epic battles and then at the last week of production tossed in a story.

I think they did a great job of keeping to Optimus' character while making him a little less of a pansy. That is the add on that I got from it. I think pulling the other autobots out of the battles a bit allowed him to be shown as the leader he is suppose to be.

I think you missed the point. Prime is badass, but he's also pure of heart. You saw the 'pure of heart' last movie, but he was definitely more badass in this one. You have to admit. I don't know how what Shib said had to do with story.
