So, the other day at my 4th of July party I am talking to my friend's sister (she knew me before i started weight training) and tells me alot of girl's I know liked me better when I was skinny, she says now you just look scary cuz your getting bigger. When I look at myself I still see a skinny little bitch, I am sure if you looked at my pictures you see what I mean. I started training for myself, never for anyone else, and I never cared what anyone else thought. More and more everyday I feel I do not belong in this hick-town. Just a little rant I needed to let out.

i personally hate skinny guys. i think they are just 12 year old girls.
but yes. train to better yourself and not for the opinions others may have. other's opinions will change about you but your personal goal will stay the same no matter what.

I remember hearing something similar when I first started lifting out of high school. I wasn't built up yet, but I would talk about my goal physique. It was kind of like in between a model and a WWE wrestler. Girls would say stuff like "I don't like all those muscles". But as you get through college and especially afterwords it all changes for the majority. Not to mention that all your "competition" have let themselves go and seeing a guy who keeps himself in shape is fewer and fewer.

That is what drives me. I work in the city I grew up in. So I see alot of people that I went to school with and its a great feeling when they are fat and out of shape. Its even better when they are married to a girl I dated in school I know she is thinking, "Damn, I should have stayed with Frank The Tank!"...lolOriginally posted by Pastafarian View PostNot to mention that all your "competition" have let themselves go and seeing a guy who keeps himself in shape is fewer and fewer.

My family is really the worst with this. You're too skinny, you're going to look like a freak now. You don't want to get that big...blah, blah, blah. Everyone has feelings about it and for some reason they feel they have to vocalize it to you. Its like, STFU, I'm not telling you what to do with your body.

Yeah my family used to try to cut me down too, I hate them all anyways so I never cared what they thought, only my father encouraged me cuz he worked out till his 30's so he knew why I was doing what I do, unfortunately he passed away some years ago so its me versus the world, I like it better that way anyways, keeps you hungry when you have adversity.Originally posted by NewbieChris View PostMy family is really the worst with this. And nobody say I am just saying any of that to get attention or want people feel bad for me I was just agreeing with Chris.
