...you get fucked when you buy a car?

I finally had to break down and trade in my paid off 2000 Maxima. Just not conducive to having a baby and carting shit around.

So, my company offers a 4% under invoice discount on Nissans. So, I bought an 09 Murano SL...Now, the huy did find me the exact color & features I wanted...sent someone to Evansville, IN to get it.

Well, I go in to make the deal...he gives my $500 less for my trade, and then adds like another $600 + $745 for destination onto my below invoice price...so, it ends up feeling like I didn't get a deal at all.

So, I'm with the Finance Mgr- and those people are even bigger snakes- tries selling me on higher financing for a longer term?!?? I said "uh, no- I will take the 2.9% that Nissan has". Then she tries to tell me what a great rate this other bank had! "I said why would I pay higher interest for a longer term, and that is NOT what i told the salesman!?" So, then she draws up the Nissan paperwork

Finally, she tries FIVE TIMES each time at a lower price to get me to buy the goddamn GAP insurance. I said "Why would I need gap- with my trade, I'm putting down almost $6k? And, I don't need the extended warranty, either. I had my Maxima for 8 years, and put about $500 TOTAL into it" She then still tries to hard sell me for a good 10 more minutes!

I mean, seriously! I know they didn't make dick on what I bought, but why do they have to be so dirty and make me never want to buy a car from them again- mostly from what the Finance Mgr did. And, I went in alone, without sonis, so did they think that since i'm a woman that I would just give in??!?! WTF!!!

A woman alone buying a car = fresh meat for the vultures.

    Sorry but it's true.

Take your car to a garage or an oil change place by yourself and see what they try to push on you, then go back with your husband and see how things change.

I just don't understand why they have to make it such an unpleasant experience.
