What idiot would fly to Germany to pick one of those POS's up?

To then resell it in a few months?

Sorry but I am a General Motor's man for life. It is all I owned and I kick the shit outta whatever I drive. They never break on me, and if I have to replace a part that has worn out I can fix it myself. I would consider a european car, but never a Japanese car.

I think if you know how to fix cars and are mechanically inclined, maybe American is the way to go. But if you are someone like me and can at best replace a spark plug and never learned how to change my own oil... Then foreign is the way to go (Nissan, Honda...)

                    Warm up your fingers pasta..
Maybe it is my automotive background but japanese cars are poorly made I have worked on all types. (easy money in college when people do not know crap about cars). For some reason people think they last forever, Honda's rust so fast it is ridiculous and the engineering is all backwards. I will admit I never dealt with a Nissan but GM owns part of that company so I will call that a draw. I just think when the USA was making bad gas mileage cars in the 70's and Japan snuck in with high quality cars they stuck, but honestly their quality has seriously degraded, IE toyota tacoma pickups breaking in half. My Chevy Truck drives smoother than my mother's brand new CR-V and she even admits that. I mean people got convinced that Japanese cars are great, but I strongly disagree. Don't get me started with those Hyundai's either, you have to wait 5 seconds before the car shifts into reverse what a POS.

Ha, no warming up here. I just know I had a Nissan XE (a small truck) and ran it hard, poor maintenance and it lasted forever. My brother had an SS Camaro (around 2000) and it had all sorts of little things going wrong with it. Another friend had and Iroc style RS and it ran great. Another friend had a Honda Maxima that was driven hard and lasted forever...

Drive a GT-R or even a 370z and tell me how much of a POS japanese cars are...

Last time I checked Nissan made Maxima lol. But yeah i will agree with you that yes there are Lemons that make it through production lines as well as cars that last forever. I just think that in my experience American cars are trying to get their good name back, and that their quality has surpassed that of japanese cars.
