I think you like making yourself feel superior. You don't have to specifically state that in order for people to see that's behind this statement. I'm not just pulling that out of thin air, I have a brain and I can see for myself based on your posts in this thread and many others.


Why is it that when you state your opinion, it's pure logic and when others state theirs it's judging? If bringing people down off their pedestal is necessary when they state an opinion that differs from yours, than I'm sure you can see that it's necessary to do the same to you when your opinion differs from theirs, right?



What makes you think that you are even capable of holding people to their words or actions? You don't even hold yourself to your own words and actions. You claim that you can see the inconsistencies in what people say, yet you haven't demonstrated the ability to see the inconsistencies in what YOU say. You infer that you are willing to hold others accountable for their actions. That requires some level of authority over those people. Sorry, but you don't have that. And what are you holding them accountable to? There has to be some standard or accountability is pointless. You're no different than the rest of us, Shib.

Without basis according to who? That's the question that's been asked a couple of times now and you still haven't answered it. Please don't think that we're not able to understand your point. I take it you think if we could just understand your point it would all become obvious to us. If my opinion is my opinion than why is it so important to you that it be based on something that YOU find sufficient to support it? All of this seems to come back to you and what satisfies the requirements that YOU have placed on other people's opinions. I think that's what makes people think you look down on them.

I certainly don't think your opinions are without basis, but I do think the basis for some of them is false. Does that mean I'm criticizing you because you have an opinion? No, it means that I disagree with the assumptions underlying some of those opinions. I also disagree that you're ready for your opinion to be challenged and I question your preperation to defend it because even just in this thread, you've backpedaled and contradicted yourself several times and this isn't even a heated discussion.

Wrong. I don't need an opinion that satisfies me. When a single statement is made that begs the question, I ask them. When an explanation is given it doesn't have to meet my satisfaction, but for me to agree with it, of course it does. Otherwise I don't agree :idea:. I have no problem with you disagreeing with the support I put to my opinions. I welcome that. So, let me get this straight. Someone states an opinion that, for you, begs questions, so you ask those questions. In order for you to agree with the explanation, it has to meet with your satisfaction. Nothing wrong with that. We all do that. But agree, disagree, who cares. That's not what Bouncer is talking about. This thread all started because you come off as putting people down and mocking them because you don't agree with their explanation. We all get that you don't agree with many points of view here. The issue is your attitude toward those you don't agree with. How does this thread prove you can defend your point of view? All you've done is state that you can defend your point of view. I haven't seen any of this defending actually taking place. A response in and of itself is insufficient.

You know what, I'd love to debate whatever you want to debate if you're willing. Not because I think I'm so smart, but I do enjoy that kind of thing (although you'd never guess :D). If you want to discuss through PM, I'm game.
