Get the Maxda Protege R5. They are nice looking cars, the interior is nicer than most 50k cars, they handle nice, they have great gas mileage, they are roomy, and mostly, for 12k you can get one almost brand new, with low mileage. I HIGHLY recommend one. I would honsest to god trade my Cobra in for one if I didn't owe so much on it.

I'd get a mountain bike, then spend the rest shopping:agree:

You could get a 2003 protege for less than that. And it would still have a warranty. Warranties go a long way when you are a financially challenged college student. Not to mention, repairs for Lexus' are outrageous.

                              Gong,

go to kelly blue book website www.kbb.com then click "decision guide" on the left side navigation bar. from there you can input the price range that you are looking for, other things about a car that you desire and it spits out what cars are in that range with the desired features.

I would definetly buy a used car. you loose so much money just driving a new one off the lot.
