  • anyone see watchmen?

i was completely lost for the first half of the movie. i probably only enjoyed the sex scene with Mr. Manhattan (a man who can make himself into 4? how erotic!). but all-in-all it was an okay movie. really reminiscent of Sin City which i loved. who else saw it?

Read the comic(graphic novel, call it whatever) first. I don't even read comics, and I loved this one. The movie is ok, but it doesn't do it justice.

I just watched it and thought it felt very long and weak story. Other than Dr. Manhattan's philisophical monolouges I had no interest in the movie (except when Laurue was naked  ).

The book of course is arguably the greatest graphic novel ever written. Only The Dark Knight Returns and The Sandman even come close in my opinion. Highly recommended.

Not bad, especially Frank Miller's Born Again. Not sure if it is quite in the same class as TDKR though.

This is how I felt when watching the movie. If you know silver surver you pretty much know mr manhatten. If you have seen The League of Extrodinary Gentlmen, you have pretty much heard the story.

Well, that is the problem with translating a wonderfully written piece of work, that involves a lot of story elements, to a 2 hour movie. The movie doesn't do Watchmen justice, end of story. Read the comic, it will take you maybe an hour or two.

Why does Rorschach's mask keep changing?

Exactly why you should read it. I'll mail it to you, you mail it back .

                            Explanation:

It is made out of some crazy fabric a lady had a dress made out of, some sort of viscous material inside two fabrics. The movie made it more exaggerated then I believe it to look.

                              Just watched it last night.

It was a great LOOKING movie, the visuals were awesome and there were a lot of subtle little hints thrown in along the way.

Pyramid signs, hidden smilie faces, inkblots etc....

Very dark, which I liked and the song choices were great.

The plot seemed a little thin and certain things could have been cut to shorten it up a bit.

All in all I give it an 8/10.
