I was at the grocery store and some white trash couple were using them. it looked like a check and it said what they could get for food, the cashier rang everything up then put it into this machine, it printed stuf out on it, then off they went leeching off the system.

That was a WIC check. The "food stamps" is now just a card. There are limits to wear you can use them. I don't know if you can use it at Mc Donald's, I only used it at walmart. My family had both for a while after my first son was born and WIC after my second son.Originally posted by Konitz View PostI was at the grocery store and some white trash couple were using them. it looked like a check and it said what they could get for food, the cashier rang everything up then put it into this machine, it printed stuf out on it, then off they went leeching off the system.

food stamps are now like credit cards. they have an allotted amount for strictly food items (milk, bread, eggs) and then sometimes the government will give a certain amount in cash like a debit card. if you saw someone using it at mcdonalds, it was probably them using the debit and not the stamps.
the government is using credit cards for everything. even welfare, disability and unemployment checks now come on a card. they send it out with the initial balance and every month it's transferred into your account linked to that card. the ones here in maryland have a racehorse on them.
the best is when you go to a grocery store in the ghetto and you see this old lady with like 2 carts full of food. i'm talking chicken, pork, steaks, cereal, kool-aid, cheese, etc. and then at the end of the purchase they pull out the good ol' food stamp card.

What would you have her buy? Cigarettes and booze? At least she is buying mildly health shit with it.Originally posted by dbjmofo View Postthe best is when you go to a grocery store in the ghetto and you see this old lady with like 2 carts full of food. i'm talking chicken, pork, steaks, cereal, kool-aid, cheese, etc. and then at the end of the purchase they pull out the good ol' food stamp card.
I've never heard so much bitching about free government assistance in my life, not everyone has Daddys credit card...
The same goes for everyone else. Its a flawed system, generalizing everyone that uses it into one group is shear stupidity.

I agree with what she is saying. You see the person in front of you with porterhouses and all this food and gets it all for free. But I work my ass off and have to watch what I buy because I have to actually use my own money?? Its a little backwards. I think old people and handicaped people are the only ones that should get free food. I dont see a problem with WIC because that is for babies and they should get everything they need.Originally posted by NewbieChris View PostWhat would you have her buy? Cigarettes and booze? i never said i was entirely against it. i guess i should have elaborated. people sell their food stamps and disability checks/cards for cash to use it for drug money. i don't mind if someone who actually needs it takes advantage of it. it's just the fact that people who are physically and mentally capable of holding a job don't. i have a few family members that use and abuse this "free government system" and i just get a little upset when my personal tax dollars go towards helping someone become a drug addict. there are plenty of homeless people that can take advantage of the food stamp system and housing aid and yet women with 5 kids, all who can work and admit they feel no need to, will claim WIC and food stamps for a family of 6 and then ask for child support for the father who is "MIA" when in fact he's actually living with them in their subsidized home. my aunt, a long-term government employee, working since she was 17, was diagnosed with lupus and during her treatment she was denied and temporary government aid because "she is an able-bodied citizen and can hold a job". she asked for a maximum for 6 months aid and was denied. but hey, the offered her a handicap parking permit. so i don't speak out of ignorance.Originally posted by NewbieChris View PostWhat would you have her buy? Hey Chris, why don't you shut the fuck up and get out of this board.
"Daddy's credit card" you're the one to speak. Your faggot ass got a M3 as their 1st car, and now you're traveling with your dad and blowing his cock everytime he gets hard and point to it.
Learn some God damn respect when approaching someone (especially a woman)
You have no idea what DBJ's living situation is like, and what her parents are like.

IMO people who need the assistance should be a temp thing; it should be a privilege, not a fucking given...I can't stand fucking people who can't fucking work...Fuck them[/QUOTE]
EXACTLY!!!
If you're too lazy to work, than something is wrong with you.
This is the land of opportunity and freedom. Not abuse the system and rob the hard working Americans (us) of the taxes and use it on useless shit.

I think Youngstown is a mostly black city. NOT that there is anything wrong with balck people but most non-black people I know wouldnt want to move to a city that is majority black. Im not 100% sure but when I was in school alot of guys were from Youngstown and they were either black or wingers (Oh wait you will fit right in then....lol) But seriously like I said I have never been there. Im just going by the people I have meet from there.Originally posted by radoFuck Sandusky...It's looking more like Canton/Youngstown...So you and your Bozo suit will just have to drive longer:whistle

My ideal state is Florida bro; I miss everything about it...Bouncer knows me and he told me that was the biggest mistake I did moving out of there; he was right about the moving part though...But I met the love of my life and she gave me a beautiful boy and loving family I've always wanted:)
I wouldn't mind going back to Chicago(Hoffman Estates) or even Michigan:thumup:Then you and I could go grab a beer and fight:fight:
Yeah, I would look at Canton over Youngstown. But Im sure there and good and bad with most places. Good Luck Man! Michigan isnt bad I live like 25 minutes from the Ohio border. I live in a very nice neighborhood its still under construction. Move in my neighborhood and we could compare our 1000k bill collections.
