My wife wanted nothing to do with brestfeeding. We used NESTLÉ GOOD START. I swear my son only spit up one time the whole time. From what I have read it is by far the best. I guess mom makes exactly what the baby needs as far as nutrition. It is also suposed to have a less chance of a over weight kid. I was just started reading that stuff 2 days ago I have lots more to read and re-read.lol

Formula is quite expensive. I know right now we are using Good Start Gentle or something like that. We use it because our first son used it with WIC and it worked well. Breast feeding is the best at the beginning especially because of the colostrum (sp). After a certain amount of time there isn't a huge difference between the two, it becomes more about preference, time and money.

Rocket, please do some deep research before you decide on the formula.
The breast milk has antibodies, provides all the proteins and nutritions. Breastfed babies are less likely to develop allergies. It also creates a very strong bond between the mother and the child. Moreover, it is very convinient- the milk doesnt have to be prepared, stored, doesnt go bad.
I breastfed both of my sons, first 4 months, second one 6 months. When he was 4 months old I went to work full time, still, I was able to breastfeed him at night for 2 more months. AAfter that he decided it was enough for him so he just started eating formula.
Good luck with whatever you decide. I am sure you and your woman will make the right decision.

Thanks for the reply Magdalena, We plan on breast feeding untill at least 6 months longer if needed. But I remember reading its good to make it 6 months. I do need to get back reading on that cuzz the lil girl will be here in 9 more weeks.

i think you should breast feed until your son is at least 6-7 years old.
