You know what's sad, he was endorsing some diet pill/plan near the end of his death... down the hole again, another person claimed. I wonder how many actually knew the extent of his use, he certainly was thinning out there n it wasn't from drinking oxyclean.

" The autopsy also found low concentrations of ethyl alcohol "consistent with social consumption of a few beverages" as well as the narcotic drugs hydrocodone, oxycodone and tramadol. Mays had prescriptions for the drugs -- which were found in therapeutic or subtherapeutic concentrations -- to ease hip pain.

In addition, the tests found evidence of two tranquilizers -- alprazolam (Xanax) and diazepam (Valium) -- which are commonly prescribed for a variety of ailments, including anxiety and insomnia. Both drugs were determined to be in therapeutic or subtherapeutic concentrations."

the crackhead fix - get up on the yip, get down on the H, chill out on totem poles. I've seen more people than I wish go down this way. The very fact he was using tramadol to me suggest he was abusing the opiates he had prescribed as ultram / tramadol is a synthetic opiod so he was either trying to taper his habbit or add to his high. Since he had all the other shit in him, I'll go w/add to his high. I'm gonna go puke now.

I'm just glad that the FDA makes sure those drugs are safe for us to take, who knows where we would be without there great knowledge of "drugs".............................

i remember i pulled a muscle at work and my mom gave me my dad's oxycodone (he's in remission from leukemia so it's prescribed) and believe me, it was one of those feelings i never want to feel ever again. so weird and trippy. and this is also an example of how even your family can turn you to addiction. :P

one thing i don't realize is why my dad's doctor is handing out the prescription like it's a party favor. my dad got it filled twice in the past 3ish years and ends up shredding about 3-4 of the prescriptions anyway. my dad even told the doctor he doesn't need a prescription just yet but he keeps on writing. maybe the doctors should be more hesitant in prescribing meds.

pharmacology and the people who actually script the drugs are both to blame I think. The FDA, don't get me going. It's the lack of knowledge on the doc who scripts it and the lack of communication (who fills what/where) so it either doesn't come back round or it's too late. And a lil yip up in the mix and no more infomercials for you. NO PORN/SOUP FOR YOU!

The entire system is fucked. Most people just fill whatever the doctor prescribes to them blindly. They don't do the research into what they are putting in their body.

America as a whole is super over medicated. People want a pill to take everyday if their fucking life doesn't feel like some damn movie they watched. Anti-Depression meds are just thrown out to everyone.

its a booming buisness !!! just watch tv every other commercial is about a new drug to treat a new ailment -- its fucking rediculous -

docs have become the ultimate drug pushers of the 21st century

I couldn't agree more, I remember being a doctor guinea pig as they tried 4 different SSRI's and then popped in a few SNRI's (this is because I told them that I was completely homicidal and suicidal on them... never my idea to be on them in the first place btw). You try to please people and you lose yourself, that's what this country is coming to, a bunch of lost sheep and a lot of wolves.

Don't always be so quick to "blame" the doctors. The guy was taking multiple narcotics, and Valium and Xanax - I mean, wtf. HE is to blame for that, not anyone else. It is HIGHLY unlikely he was getting all those things from ONE doctor, which meant he was making his rounds and "working" them all.

He def was doc shopping... trust me on the narcotics end, I know unless you find the candy man you aren't getting all those schedule IVs from one RX'er. However, the pharmacies can see exactly what you are being prescribed no matter where you fill them (unless you scam it blah blah). This guy probably was taking most of the things in him for awhile, and to top that off imagine what else wasn't coming up in the tox screen ? I mean he was 50... I'm sure he probably had some crazy nights/days and wound up using the docs/streets in the end to his own demise.

Right, which makes his death his fault, not the doctors or the FDA or anyone else.
