  • my life is going to change big time

so my dad had applied for my uncle and his wife and kids to move here from pakistan in '96 and they got approval. they will be here tuesday. we have to pick them up from JFK. i haven't seen these cousin's since i visited them in pakistan in 2000. and boy, are they going to be in for a rude awakening.

first is their diet. no more desi ghee, which is like equivalent to lard in terms of how bad it is for you. no more butter in all their:evil: food. no more milk straight from the cow. no more veggies straight from the fields. and water you can drink straight from the faucet. second, electricity. there, the power is on for like 1 hour and out for 4. and lastly, the american way of living. meaning, we clean up after ourselves, we drive, we don't cut lines, we don't pay off cops and we bathe at least 1 time a day.

all i know is, i will have fun messing with fresh blood. :) i'm evil.

You don't pay off cops cuz you're a chick :) , and man, cutting lines? Shit when I'm in the mall I'm more aggressive than on a race track cuz people always used to do that shit to me. I'll let the bathing one go cuz that's everyones freedom to smell like donkey shit if they want, I'd pref go w/a shower tho. :D But, seriously, I'm stoked you will be back face to face w/family .. nothing in this world can compare to that.

ooooooh i know. i just hope they have the concept of deodorant down. when my other uncle visited from canada, he didn't know deodorant helped tone down the BO. really gross.

All of my living relatives (20+ n seeding up like a farm) are in England, I haven't been able to be there in years now and I miss them dearly. But I am also freaked out because while we've had some contact I really don't know how to begin explaining how my life has turned out to be, I hope that the fact that blood is blood makes it comfy enough so you can all just be yourselves and it works. I don't think anyone has not had a bad experience w/a cop, it's just like any other job in that sense, just givin ya a good rib while the opportunity was there :retard:

You have no idea how big my family is already. Solely on my mother's side on a given family get-together there are easily 30-some people. That's including kids and such. My dad's side is about twice that but thank god a majority of his family is still in pakistan. And i know about popping kids left and right. Once a year we try to get everyone together and there is always a newborn. It's nice being close but then sometimes it's nice to be able to breathe.

wowow, your family is definitely not having libido issues  . I think it's that UK side is my mother and her two sisters are within 3-4 years appart ... they married within the same time differences and had kids around the same time frame, so I guess it's a mini explosion of a gene pool right now lol.

Man, I've never had a single xmas w/more than literally my brother mother and father. I know that too much of anything can be tough but I would love to be around the rest of my family more.

if you've never been, it's hard to discuss. not a shithole where the generals and army folk live but the average "middle class" doesn't have certain necessities, or luxuries as they see it.

every single time i've went, i've gotten diarrhea, upset stomach and just over all ickyness for the entire length of the stay (each stay averaging a month). you can't drink the water from the tap, most people only bathe, not shower, using deodorant and everyday hygiene products seems like it's optional. there is an open sewer system in a majority of the villages, which means spread of infection and disease is high. doctor's will only see you if your problem means more money for them. you buy your food from places where the electricity goes out constantly.

in a nut shell, when you think of a third world country, almost all assumptions you have will be 90% correct.
