Iphone 3gs

I've had the first generation Iphone for almost 2 years- I love it- couldn't leave home without it.

I'm eligible for upgrade sometime around November, so I started poking around Ebay & such to see if I could find a deal on one. I know they are only $200, but it's still fun to look.

So, I'm poking around eBay, and see like 2 pages full of them, but they are like $900+?!!! Most of them say unblocked or unlocked or whatever. But, who cares about that, and how does that justify three times the price?

hacking cell phones isn't too difficult and for the right person offers a lot of benefits, there are reasons why they explode on ebay, but, to answer your question - there is no reason you should even waste your time with those. If you like the plan you have, have the upgrade coming, I'd just stick it out personally.

If you are due for an upgrade just get the 3 G for $99 from AT&T, I had the original and my microphone stopped working, so I just got the 3G for 99.

3GS has what...video, voice command, what else? I don't need to pay an extra hundred for that.

If you're looking for more memory, than get the Iphone 3G S

its crazy how they just offer 16 and 32gb for $199

The 3GS is faster. I would get at least the 16GB for $199 if you don't mind spending that much. I think the 3GS is a much better phone than the 3G.

just hold onto the original for a year or so longer. that is when the real iphone 2 will be coming out. the difference between the original and the 3gs is very minimal. no need to spend more for just a few upgrades. wait until the new design comes out.

There's always going to be a better phone around the corner. The 3GS is better than the 3G but the difference may not be compelling - however, the 3GS is MUCH better than the 2G, so I would not hesitate to make the switch.

Yeah, I have the 1st gen- 2g. I really want the 3gs since it has video & voice recording...perfect to catch spontaneous cute things the baby does!

On a side note- our computer at home is slower than Christmas, Firefox & Google are all jacked up, and it takes forever just to open the internet- and we have DSL/high speed.
Well, I got pissed off at it last week, and just powered it off. Itunes was still up, and now when I go back into ITunes, it won't open. I downloaded another version of Itunes, but how do I retrieve all of my songs? Itunes automatically will load what's on my Ipod, won't it? I really hate computers sometimes.

I personally wouldn't use the video now, but I can see how you would want it for sure. I really didn't want to upgrade, but my damn microphone went out, your payment plan also increases with a move from the 1st generation.
