Breaking News : Lockerbie bomber is set to be 'released today' : RICHMARK SENTINEL

Sky News sources as well as those of the Scottish Sun newspaper are of the view that Abdelbaset Ali al-Megrahi, the Lockerbie bomber, will be released today on compassionate grounds.

Megrahi currently being held at Greenock prison was convicted of the death of 259 people on board a Pan-Am flight from Heathrow to JFK Airport in New York, as well as 11 who died in or around the Southern Scottish town of Lockerbie from debris falling from the sky as a result of the explosion of a bomb planted on the plane.
