Gmail and spam

okay. i've had my gmail account for about 5-6 years. usually i never get any spam email but recently, i've been getting a crap load. yes, i know it automatically filters but why the hell would i need a "pe+nis enLar-gem+ent"? anyone else get this issue? i'm talking about gmail specifically because i never had spam out the wazoo like this.

no idea about that, gmail has always been reliable for me.

i get spam in my gmail. filters out most though.

I've had my account for about 5 yrs and I've had spam that was automatically filtered from day one. It seems to go in cycles sometimes just a handful and every now and then a bombardment.
