I can't figure the concept of life period. If god exists he's got a fucked up sense of humor, without him where did the first atom come from to begin evolution ? thats the part the i get lost at too. i have seen a lot of science about the begining of things, big bang, string theory etc.. but the problem is, you need 'something' for those theory's to work as well. the religious tools would say, "thats why science is flawed and you must believe in god". sorry no. like you said, god had to come from something, does god have a dad? what created his dad? lol. its a question that bothers me also. the very question is flawed. and i cant make it right. :fight:

If im not good enough for some ant farm I'll be in "hell" if it doesn't exist. I was brought up surrounded by evangelic bullshit, today I feel free from organized religion, finally. Good point about hell, I know that but never really think about it those terms. :clapback:

Beware of false dichotomy. We feel it's either believe in a higher power or not. While that is technically true there are always levels. I look at it as we can't prove there is a god and we can't prove there isn't. I lead my life as if there isn't one. Right or wrong, I would never choose one of the known religions. However if there is a god, I don't feel any of us know the true one. Everything we do know is man's version of trying to grasp the unknown. Back when these faiths were created, most the world was illiterate so they just went along with what ever the "educated and powerful" told them. Every faith has a story of a being that somehow was a piece or decedent of a god. Always depicted as a MAN, hmm? This is always the base of why that certain set of beliefs is true and not man made. How can you not think it's all coincidence that the only time that this supreme being showed itself to be true is when people didn't know any better. Theism's power comes from the naive, but egotistical, nature of man.
