  • Inglourious Basterds

Lt. Aldo Reid: He bashes their[Nazi's] brains in with a baseball bat is what he does. Now, Werner, I'm gonna ask you one more goddamn time, and if you still "respectfully refuse," I'm callin' the Bear Jew over here, and he's gonna take that big-ole bat of his, and he's gonna beat you to death with it. Now take your wiener schnitzel lickin' finger and point out on this map what I want to know.

Kliest: Mein Fuhrer, do you still wish to see Private Butz?
Adolf Hitler: Who and what is a "Private Butz"?

    :rofl::rofl:

Here it goes. Normally I dont like Tarantino films because the story doesn't appeal to me. However, this was a great plot and (maybe) a remake of the Dirty Dozen. Great movie that I recommend seeing. I just don't know if you HAVE to see in it a theater. If you have a good home entertainment area I don't see why it wouldn't look good there. Nothing spectacular about the special effects, etc.

I just wouldn't want to wait to see it. Funny movie about Nazi's dying and every time Hitler comes on the screen you laugh (sorry BigScott - Tarantino hates on your boy). I think its worth a trip to the theater to see for the single reason that I wouldn't want to wait a few months for the DVD.

Ya kinda what I meant waiting for it to come to DVD.
I might have to go tonight to see it. I wanted to see it real bad but then read it sucked Trying to read all the german instead of just watching.

                Cool thanks.

Might as well rent it or something.

There are plenty of subtitles and if that is something that will become a nuisance to you, don't see it. You want to pay attention to the film as much as you want to read the subtitles. You'll learn to stop reading and watch the screen when the shots are more important. Honestly, it has come by so much criticism for trivializing killing Nazi's. So, that in itself was reason for me to see it.

I'm not a critic but I thought it was good enough to go see in Theaters...morality aside.

Col. Hans Landa: You'll be shot for this!
Lt. Aldo Raine: Nah, I don't think so. More like chewed out. I've been chewed out before.

Lt. Aldo Raine: [the Basterds are breaking Sgt. Stiglitz out of jail] Sgt. Hugo Stiglitz?
                      [Sgt. Stiglitz nods]
Lt. Aldo Raine: Lt. Aldo Raine. These are the Basterds, ever heard of us?
                      [Sgt. Stiglitz nods]
Lt. Aldo Raine: We just wanted to say we're a big fan of your work. When it comes to killing Nazis...
                      Nazi Guard: Uggghhhhaahhh...
[one of the Basterds shoots him]
Lt. Aldo Raine: ...I think you show great talent. And I pride myself on having an eye for that kind of talent. But your status as a Nazi killer is still amateur. We all come here to see if you wanna go pro.
