being that it was made by chevy when they still had their fist far up their ass. i would say its probably lost 75 horse power by now. so that would put you right on the path to be eaten by a 370. :)
P.S. tell me you don't still live in a trailer. tell me there is not a vette parked outside of your trailer now. :DLast edited by Bouncer; 09-18-09, 10:05 AM.

its 385hp? shit. only 55 more horse power then the z then. not 75 like i thought. oh yea, a 2001 chevy has definitly lost the 50 horsepower by now with the way it has most likely been driver over the years.Originally posted by radoYou know I was giving you a hard time....:)
But some of these bozo's don't know any better;)
Nice muscle car bro...385hp and torque? Not bad huh?
I love the 8 man...It's definately something you want to keep up on though, but you know:D I love the shifting at 6k, 7k, or sometimes even 8k, 9k rpms though:thumup:
Be safe with your car and don't get stupid.
would still be faster then the Z in a straight line but in the corners i would fuck your country ass up.

the newer vettes can handle pretty damn good. the new ZR1 is insane.Originally posted by radoYes I'm almost certain it's 385 on hp and torque....but IMO....Corvette's are a classic car....but are good for straight lines....like mustangs.....when it comes to handling....lol.....well......:)
but in 2001 chevy were making cars with parts they found in the sewer. take that 2001 around a good corner and i bet the shell of the car comes off.

the shell coming off was obviously a joke.Originally posted by wnabeabeast View PostBoth of you guys are smoking crack, Corvettes have been using the same hydro formed chassis since 1999, yes they have been making small tweaks since than but not enough to be noticed by an average Joe. so, doesn't matter how hard you throw that car in to a corner nothing will come off.
but if you think you can compare a 2001 Z06 to a Z06 of today you are the one smoking crack.Last edited by Bouncer; 09-18-09, 12:04 PM.

$500 says he couldn't get that car around the track 20 laps before something goes wrong with it.Originally posted by wnabeabeast View PostAnd yes without a doubt it'll make a whore out of the new Z 370. :D
he would get me in the straight line speed because of the simple matter of horse power. but when it comes to the corners i would catch him. and then like i said, around lap 20 his car would almost certainly fail being an older American car. :agreed:

First I didn't compare C5 Z06 to C6 Z06. I said an average Joe wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the two cars on or off the track, you have to be a pretty damn good driver to be able squeeze out that second or second and a half time difference from a car that built very similar to the one it's racing agains.Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View Post$500 says he couldn't get that car around the track 20 laps before something goes wrong with it.

Second you can't catch shit in your POS Nissan. C5 Z06 did a lap in 7:56 around the Nurburgring and and Nissan 350Z did a lap in 8:26 back in 2003 so let me be generous and shave 6 seconds off it's lap time since they made all the improvments to your 370Z, you are still at 8:20 and that's my friend still 24 seconds behind C5 Z06.
So doesn't matter how you slice it you can never catch a Z06 regardless of it's age. :D
Oh here is the link for the official Nurburgring lap times.
