There is always going to be stupid people saying stupid things. Should we go around fighting them all?

You are giving a man's opinion (if it can even be considered that) to much power over what defines you and your family.
and thats the thing. the guy even said he didnt know what they were talking about. he wasnt even really talking about his wife or daughter. he was just being a jackass.

and to be honest, this seems a little nutty to me. he made you so mad that you are considering really hurting the guy but you did nothing when he said it? this whole planning of the beating sounds like a fucken lame to me. either defend what bothers you at the time or dont.

your comming across a little gay too.

mark my words, if your at the zoo and some dude comes up to your wife and says, "your a fucken whore" and then he goes up to your kid and says "your a little faggot". you gonna just walk away. if the answer is yes, you are now a pussy in my book.

If he would go up and get in there face then I would do something, but not because of the words he said. He could use what ever words he wanted and I doubt I would pay attention to it. If I was at the zoo and he came up to me without my family around and said those things, i would just look at him like he is crazy (because he is) and walk away.

even if he didn't get it there face. if he screamed it at them from 5 feet away you still need to stand up for them. if you didn't i guarantee your wife would always ask herself, "why didn't he defend me"?.

ask your wife. ask her to be honest.

Defend her from what? Air that makes certain sounds on her ear drums? I'm guessing if you had a daughter that got raped you would kill her for embarrassing your family too. (honor killing).

trust me, those sounds would bother your wife. and the fact that you would turn the other way and do nothing would bother her even more.

as for the rape question. what the fuck are you talking about? why would i kill my daughter? i would kill the offender.

Why would the words bother her in the first place? So someone insignificant to her (and in the current scenario may not even know), says some words to her. These words are somehow suppose to suddenly be true or hurt her feelings? Again, words only have the power you give them. Fighting over it is only about defending some sort of delusional honor. That's the connection to the honor killing.

still have no clue what your talking about with honor killing. sounds like jibberish to me.

you can talk all day about how words are just sounds and how you are not effected by the "system" we all live by. nature is nature bro. animals makes sounds before they fight. you are no different. i have no doubt in my mind i could say words to you or your family that would eventually lead you to be fucken pissed. no doubt at all. words true or not makes no difference. go watch some parent call your son a stupid fuck at a baseball game when he strikes out while you sit there whistling dixy like a fucken pussy. lol

hell, you were bothered by "retard" and "trailer park" and those things were said over the internet.

I can tell you are clueless and things bother you just because. If they bother you and you can't explain why, then it's not your feelings it's the feelings someone else put in you. You also completely miss the point about what bothered me. It's not the words that bothers me it making a joke of someone simply because you feel they are beneath you. I would do something about someone telling my son something that would make him upset. Not because of the words, because he is my kid (who doesn't know any better and sounds like the mentality of most in this thread) and I will protect his physical well being as well as his emotional well being.
