I fixed it myself absolutely I did, so many people I know have chucked theres in the bin and bought a new one when they got the 3 red rings of death, mine trully showed all the sighns of being kaput, but I've fixed it and put new twin fans and better connections to the mothyer board in it:agreed:

hint: microsoft would have fixed it for free.

red rings of death is in the warranty for like 3 years. they would have paid shipping too.

how did you fix it? red ring of death is a chip heated to the point of failure. they replace the whole board to fix it.

yeah I nearly did to those Elite's look pretty slick in black, there just isn't anything that great out there game wise for me to splash the cash so I though I'd try it, says it takes an hour and a half, I fell asleep on the bed after 45 mins, watched some formula 1, drank some english tea, took me about three hours lol
