  • Canadian Thanksgiving...

For all the Canadians on the board, post your pig-out stories here. We celebrated a day early, since my bro has hockey tomorrow night. I am pleased to say that I ate enough to put an Olympian on a bulking cycle to shame. My mother and grandmother go all-out at thanksgiving, cooking both traditional and non-traditional foods. Here are the items that were on the menu today:

Turkey (cranberry sauce and gravy), stuffing, duck a l'orange, goose breast w/ juniper berry sauce, mashed potatoes with chives, perogies (potato& cheese and sauerkraut varieties), cabbage rolls (beef and rice stuffing), and a hot vegetable medley. Desert consisted of fruit slices with whipped cream, a deep-dish apple pie served with a scoop of Hagen-Dazs vanilla ice cream, and a piece of chocolate-caramel cheesecake.

I ate like a madman....and couldn't help but remember that episode of Friends where Joey has to eat practically the whole turkey by himself...the "Thanksgiving Pants" would have helped me out tonight!

I had thanksgiving last night with my boyfriend. I made all the stuff for our dinner. Very informal and made some yummy foods to break tradidtion....

              1. cream cheese/salsa/cheese nacho dip
              2. 2-10oz. new york steaks from the keg
              3. stuffed twiced baked potatoes
              4. coleslaw salad
              5. garlic/onion/potato baked garlic bread (lots of garlic butter)
              6. Ice cream
              7. three bottles of various red wines

umm...soo good, I was so full I thought that I would die. Now I know why I dont stuff my face like that all the time...jesus.

It was really good to eat all the bad stuff, but I felt a bit guilty...

I could probably have you and your whole extended family over for dinner, MrsP... a LOT of food filling many containers in the 2nd fridge at ma and pa's place.

I'm training chest today (it's a holiday, but one of the gym owners is a friend, and he wants to train today to...so we're going in while it's supposed to be closed). After training, I'm gonna go to mom and dad's place for a really big late lunch!

I don't know if it was the caloric overload or what, but I was up 2 reps on my heavy set on incline bench today!
