How big are you gonna get it?Originally posted by Konitz View PostNo matter what size you go with?
On black friday, my dad and I visited Circuit City and they had a 65" LCD HD Samsung TV. Looked amazing, very crisp, clear, and outstanding. If you're watching a show or playing a game, the stationary items will slightly burn into the plasma if kept on too long.

Plasma still has the richest display. Darkest blacks and whitest whites. They also have the most glare in rooms with a lot of light exposure ( be it sun or light from other rooms). A true 1080P image will be noticeably better in comparison to an lcd in the perfect viewing environment. However, you will get a bigger lcd for less money and in most case sthe differences in terms of the video image will not be very noticeable.

LEDs are probably the best right now, but it's obviously not an option. LCDs are nice. here i go with my rant...
plasma will always give you richer colors but require more energy in terms of electricity and will generate a lot of heat. the life of plasmas has been tested to be shorter than LCDs. LCDs are lighter and generate less heat and not used for sizes over 42". plasmas will always be at risk for "burned in images" (like you'll see the ghost logo of a channel you leave on for hours at a time, like ESPN or FOX :retard: ) images also track better in plasma than in LCD. LCDs can get individual pixels that will burn out and leave small holes in your picture.
i think that's about it.
