so my old macbook is being :retard:

it's almost 3 years old and hasn't given me a problem until now. of course AFTER i retired it to my brother. it keeps giving me an error prompting me to restart the computer. when i do, it keeps cycling back.

there is also some funny code in the back. first thing is says, literally is "panic." and the other thing that i saw said this:

    Mac OS version:
    Not yet set

i don't know what that means. i can't make an appointment with apple until the weekend so any mac buffs that can help, i'll be quite thankful! :D

you would lose anything you dont have a disk for. deletes everything and reinstalls from disk.

saving files is simple. back the shit up on a back up drive.

            nothing like a clean reinstall.

I agree yes. However we cannot save files because when the computer is booted, the first error to come is "OS not found."
