      I've been eating indian food since I was a little kid (Dad's side of the family is Indian)....it's fantastic food. I agree with Bouncer: dipping fresh hot Naan into sauces is heavenly.

      At one place I like in Montreal, Bombay Palace, we often go there before a hockey game and order cocktail kebabs and several Naan breads. Having a few beers while dipping pieces of Naan into the sauce and eating those tasty little kebab slices is a perfect fast meal when you're in a rush to get to a 7pm game.

      And Mr. Incredible is right, most indian food is NOT healthy....plenty of clarified butter (ghee) is used to prepare most dishes. But then again, not many foods that taste so great are healthy. If you're trying to eat clean, stick to the Tandoori chicken.

              yeah, I do remember down in cambridge there was an indian grill , they had really good shrimp kabob type food - that's the closest I came to enjoying any indian cuisine.

                there is sodium out of the wazoo in that stuff. something like 300% the DV in one serving and that's with light seasoning. seriously, most of middle eastern food from restaurants is not healthy.

                  lol... look at middle easterns. They all seem skinny and in average shape. The reality is they have high amounts of cholesterol and high blood pressure.

                    my dad's side of the family (men and women), all lived in pakistan, all have had some sort of CV surgery and also have either high BP or diabetes. my dad has horrible genes.

                    they go through butter and salt like it's their dayjob. anytime i go there, i refuse to eat and lose like 15 pounds in less than a month (lack of food and persistent stomach flu)

                      all the indian woman around here are pretty fat now that you mention. they try to cover there fat ass with those big blanket dresses that they wear.

                        Typical day in Pakistan:

                        1st meal noon: Rice, chicken, beef, naan, oil

                        2nd meal 3pm: Fried naan, butter, chicken rice

                        3rd meal 7pm: Fried naan, more oil, butter chicken, salted beef, more spices, some of that God awful dessert, tea

                        4th meal midnight: Halwa, fried naan, some more halwa, tea.
