    :agreed: Indian people smell funny.

I love all different kinds of food, and some of my friends go to an Indian place they love, sadly I have always been busy when they have went.

This thread has inspired me to go this weekend. Any dishes you can recommend would be great. Suggest some spicy dishes also.

naan (thin grilled pita type bread) and butter chicken masala or Paneer Butter Masala.

dip the naan into the sauce.

Does the naan come with sauce? Or do you just dip it into the sauces that are part of the other dishes?

I read reviews on yelp, and everyone on there raved about the naan at the place I picked.

naan is just a thin grilled type of bread. you dip it into the sauces of other dishes. trust my on the butter chicken masala. its not like it sounds. its not just butter with chicken.

naan is a type of white bread that is baked on a heated stone in a clay oven. you can dip it into various chutneys. mint chutney (green and can be mixed with yogurt and is usually spicy), tamarind chutney (a thick reddish sauce which tends to be sweet) or just plain yogurt which is white. the sauces usually come with a meal like BBQ sauce would at american restaurants but you can always order the chutney on its own.

but there are also different types of naan. garlic, radish, lentil and chicken. the chicken naans have shredded chicken inside and just dipping that into a chutney is amazing.

Naan is a baked flatbread. Not grilled. Traditional Indian restaurants bake them in Tandoors (clay ovens) just like the Tandoori chicken. Thats why it has that smokey taste.

I don't find the tandoori chicken salty at all at the place I prefer in Montreal, and I'm someone that would notice as I don't use much salt at home.

That being said, I have had indian food at other places that was salty as all getup, and the pre-prepared indian sauces that you get at the grocery store are terrible for sodium content.
