Also even in a drag that was laughable, it wasn't until they hit like 250kmh that the Bug started to catch, the MacF1 lit the Bug up like a christmas tree off the start and up to that point.


Think about that application of power in a real race, which car would you prefer to be in, the Mac F1 is a real race car; balanced, well thought out and very usable.

The Bug is a fat guided missile, great in a straight line but then falls away, it was just a gig to make the first 1000hp production car

sure around the track i can think of 30 cars i would rather have then the bugatti.

but the bugatti is nothing short of amazing. it still did the nurburgring in 7:40. thats the same time as the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren a very fast proper car for the track.

sinse we have no offical lap time of the old mclaren we cant say. but i would venture to say that you would be disapointed with its time around the ring. its 1994 technology bro. a nissan gtr would almost certanly blow it out of the water.

here is a little fun fact for you. you could let the mclaren get up to 100mph before you let the bugatti start, it will still beat the mclaren to 200mph... that is a fact.

the climb from 100 to 200 is where the mclaren literally just dies. the bugatti on the other hand explodes after 100 and just climbs like a f-22 A raptor.

The thread was about the other car, I was just saying all that horse power and although the accelleration and top speed figures were large, its less impressive when you consider a 1994 Brit car with less power killed it stone dead.


You bring up the whole bugatti thing and I'm just saying that actually even that when considered in the context of a race car doesn't eclipse the MacF1 1994 tech.

How much does a Bugatti cost compared to that Mercedes when you say the Bugatti is so great because it got the same time as the Merc? Nuremburg is a notoriousely fast track by the way.

Anyone can make 1000 HP nowadays no longer a big deal to accomplish, when they started jumping over 1000hp on pump gas its was just a novelty item. The trick now is to apply it to the ground and the handling to be able to use it effectively.

I'm not impressed with the mustang engineering apart from the engine, as I illuded to. The Veyron is great in a straight line, but for the massive cost of it its dissapointing overall and is really just a showpiece fastest car in a straight line.

All things considered the MacF1 was a real milestone and to be honest I'm more impressed with it even today over all than either that mustang or the bugatti. And yeah absolutely I think it would take either car apart in a race.

You just don't know about racing bro because you never done it, you read magazines and stats but its not the same thing.
