Theism vs Delusion

So I'm not really trying to say that it's the same or that theist just have a form a delusion. I'm curious how those with a belief in a higher power distinguish themselves from someone who is delusional.

delusional would be an acceptable term. you could even go as far as labeling it as schizotypal behavior. for a definition of that is: "peculiar patterns of behavior, perceptual and cognitive disturbances as well as bizarre fantasies"
