for sure - there are salvation army bins everywhere also , all you getting big n swole can turn in those muscle tees you love to wear *cough* (jersey) - seriously, think of where our country is economically , now is by far the best time recently to help out.

side note: do you guys believe in tithing a certain amount of money to charity or god - if so what settled you on that amount ?

      Good post Art!

And if one is having a tough time it helps them to give just a little. Heck if I just paid all the bills, waiting on checks from peeps that owe our company Ill drop those Quarters in the card board dealio in the cardboard for charity.

One of the best things one can do when they are down and out is donate. Even if its a dollar! I was there. Call it crazy but somehow when I donate it makes me feel good and know Im making a difference.

Wont all of us get that feeling for a small donation to a reputable charity like Easter Seals or the local Food Bank.

God Bless......and Im no Holy Roller but I like to help those that cant help themselves.

LOL.....Some prolly laugh at me. I dont. And the people I give a small donation dont either I think.

      Please donate.......

in islam you're supposed to "tithe" like 10% of the estimated property you own. don't quote me on the percentage but you get the general idea.

we always donate to food banks at least twice a year, once in the summer and once around this time. :)

I like what my works doing this year with the holiday party. They have always given everyone 5 raffle tickets and you can put them in the box related to the prize (gift basket). This year they are going to sell extra tickets (as many as you want) and the money is going to make a wish. To increase the participation we will have the usual prizes provided by the company each department is creating additional baskets to win. No company money is going towards the baskets, so it's what ever anyone wants to contribute.

A good thing to donate that the less fortunate love are Ramen Noodles. Theyre usually a dime to 20 cents a piece so for $10-$20 one can get a bunch to drop in the donation barrel.
At this time of yr, stuffing and cranberry sauce is needed at the Food Banks to help some have a nice Thanksgiving.
