its basics are correct.
basically, if you are depressed, don't believe in yourself, think anything you do will be a failure etc.. you will fail.
you believe in yourself, conifdent, etc.. you are are much more likely to succeed.
the whole magic/religious theme to "the secret" turns me off though. takes a common knowledge point and then tries to add in a religious vibe.

has nothing to do with any "law of attraction".Originally posted by NewbieChris View PostThe law of mental attraction: basically you think negatively, negative things happen to you. You're positive, positive things happen. Its more complicated according to them, but its interesting.
bottom line the negative depressed person wont take the steps necessary to make something happen.
the confident and positive person on the other hand would make it happen.
its about how you feel about yourself and decisions made. nothing to do with some kind of magic attraction bs.

I think the principle is right, there's an old English saying 'you gota think lucky to be lucky'
Having said this, I have spent most my working carear so far working in an office and some of the pathetic behavious I have seen makes me cringe with people stepping over each other to get places.
I'm sure I could be a richer man (monetarily) if I had done some those things, but I chose not to, not because I'm depressed or underconfident but just because I talk to everyone the same; the cleaner the CEO I don't care, I'm that kinda guy, does this always help me, hell no, but would I want to change, no way
