    College's too-fat-to-graduate rule under fire - CNN.com

So basically a high school put P.E. back in for students with a BMI over 30. They us a waist measurement to rule out anyone that is muscular but still over the BMI limit. If you don't pass the class you don't graduate. Students are complaining they are in school to get educated not told they are fat. Obviously they don't feel physical education is a real education :rolleyes".

wtf? that's ridiculous. we learned much more than exercises in PE, like how to treat a broken bone or sprained ankle. so in a sense, it's an education of physical health.

we had to pass gym to graduate from my high school. of course we took it once during our freshman year for a total of 1 semester but still. they shouldn't be complaining. if anything, they should make it something that's required all 4 years. it's an education of physical health

I think its good, I always had tough as PE teachers and loved it, it teaches you to stay in shape which is a good lesson for life and if you don't stay in shape there will be consequences full stop.

The US HAS to implement anti-fatass policies from kindergarten on up since Komrade Obama insists on pushing forward coverage for all, or else socialized medicine will cost far more than anyone ever imagined. In Canada, we have socialized medicine at the expense of our military, which is TINY and SADLY equipped. You can't have a strong military and socialized medicine if half of your population is of the lard-assed variety...it's just not economically viable.
