I know this sounds weird - but do any of you guys need background noise - in my case I always have had a fan going in the background when I sleep (or attempt it in my current case). I can't remember how young I was but I know that one summer I didn't want to stop having the fan going and now I can't imagine trying to go without that background noise. In college one of my roomates was the same way, the other listened to music and somehow passed out in a matter of minutes. It's not exactly the cold side of the pillow but do you guys have any sleep rituals like this ?

Fan or computer humming in the background is good for me. I don't do well in a completely silent room. Maybe it is because I am a city boy - grew up in the heart of a big city with continuous city traffic noise night and day. That's why I think I would love living in Manhattan... lol....

I'm the total opposite. It has to be dark & quiet. I also must have a body pillow between my legs. Sonis likes to watch TV sometimes after I go to sleep, so I sleep with a face mask...and when he's bulking, he tends to snore- so I have to have earplugs. In fact, I've slept with them so long, I don't get good sleep otherwise. I'm a light sleeper, so anything to help not wake me is great.
Although last night I woke up about 2am with a cough tickle that just would not quit. :(

It has to be dark, very cold, and a fan blowing for air circulation and background noise.
My wife does that "leg pillow" bullshit and it drives me crazy at times. That fucking pillow migrates thru the night and always ends up pushed against me, up my ass or in my face. Hate that damn pillow.

Like it cold, I am sensitive to sleep, I will wake up at very little thing. When it comes to light, it doesn't matter, I will sleep regardless. Since I live in the basement, I am used to the sound of heater running in the winter time, and the A/C running in the summer time. That constant noise of the unit helps me sleep.

I need a box fan on medium to sleep. This chica I see every once in a while has to have the TV on and that annoys me.
I say Prayers over and over and it comforts me and I fall asleep.
For some strange reason I always wake up about 30 minutes after I go to sleep starving and go to the fridge and stuff a sandwich (pre-made) down my throat.

the more tired i get the more hungry I get - so I can imagine havin a real sammy hankering and shovin one down 30 minutes into the night lol. I dunno man, I'm trying everything to get some damn sleep - the only time I can fall asleep is when the sun goes down (which is like 4pm here now) - doesn't help out my insomnia at all cuz if i nap it's worse and I can only sleep for 1 our periods max.Originally posted by Gator_Mclusky View PostI need a box fan on medium to sleep. Over the counter Dyphenhydramine(Nytol) may help or see a doc and see what he'll give ya.
The late night eating goes back to when I was skinney and forced myself to eat late to gain weight.
Are you on any meds that may be interupting your sleep. No need to list any....just wondering.
