I, actually am a VERY independent woman. I don't like to be told what to do, or controlled. So....sonis9 has his hands full!!! Before we got married, I told him, in 5 yrs, he'll be the one home with the kids. I love to work and I love the feeling of big fat bonus checks; knowing that I made it happen. I make GREAT money for a woman my age, and I don't think I have the patience to stay home with kids all day...I know myself, and I know sooner or later I would get very restless.

So, in answer to your questions, if I wasn't married, I would NOT date someone who controlled me, or didn't treat me as an equal. Ambition is not that important to me, since I am the bread winner, but of course no deadbeats. I don't like mushy guys, but they have to be sensitive. I never thought I was into looks, but looking back at the guys I've dated, and my husband, I'll say looks are important. We are all vain in this sport!

Even though on these boards I may come off brash and sassy and hard core to the bone, I can actually be kind of a softie once you get past the hard outer shell. Most guys wouldn't be able to put up with my mouth, so I'm thankful I have sonis to deal with my attitude.

Wouldn't it be funny - like when you are proving your point at a staff meeting, or whatever....Instead of ending your usual diatribe with "And I mean business!" , try "And I mean children!"

I'm sure you will be able to walk away from that with a sweet smile of satisfaction. Sure they might laugh or chuckle nervously, but turn and smile and say "Have you seen that movie Red Dragon?" The blank stares that will greet you will be ones born of either fear, or not seeing the movie. Either way you will have had the last word - and really, winning is everything isnt it?
