Iphone and hard drive question

Do I phones have a hard drive like my home computer? If I email someone from my Iphone and delete it will it still be on a hard drive in my phone?

There is no hard drive on your iPhone, just flash memory, like a USB stick or a digital camera. Assuming you use the standard email application, as long as you delete your email from the Sent folder, you should be good. The phone does not store emails but rather establishes an interface to your Yahoo Mail or Gmail or whatever.
