really phenomenal!! Best Christmas that comes to recent memory...aside from one mishap.

I'm leaving work Christmas Eve to go to church...(yes, I do go to church) my Iphone slips out of my hand, and slams down on the concrete stairs at work. I pick it up- the glass face is all shattered... :( It actually still works ok, but I've been needing a newer phone. So, I'm on the fence on which Iphone to get. Go with the regular 3G, or the 3GS? I've had my current Iphone for 2 years...which tells me I should probably get the 3Gs to get the most life out of it.. Thoughts?

As for iphone or not, go play around with a few phones at the store. The blackberry bold is amazing and the screen is huge. Granted it's not a touch screen phone.

To me it was all about price. I just went with the 3G when I had to replace mine because the only thing different that I saw was the video capabilities and the compass. The speed to me was not noticeable. If you want to take video of the baby then go for the 3Gs. If it's not that big of a deal go with the 3G because very soon the next model will be out and if you want that one then you will not have spent too much.

Just for info in case you didn't know, a replacement phone will be cheaper if you bring the old one in. I got screwed when I got my new one because I did not know that if you had the old phone it's automatically $100 less you have to spend.

I agree with Bouncer and DBJ. The Bold is very nice, go inside a corporate AT&T store and play around. You'll find out quickly there are better phones out there than the Iphone

Well, I just bought my husband an Iphone in June...so he's locked in to AT&T for 2 years...Too much of a pain to switch both, and too much $$. I also like the fact that I can change my phone plan any time with no penalty, and I can upgrade to any phone...

As for the MIL-...we called her on Xmas Eve. She made my FIL answer. We asked what their schedule was for the next day. He pretty much left it open to us. We told him we would not be there for dinner, and to eat with out us. We said we'd be there around 6.

It was a great day...we didn't have a deadline hanging over our head, and it was a nice and relaxing day. My MIL oddly enough, was 100% pleasant. She is the weirdest person ever.

3Gs has a better camera on top of the video. I used to hate the 3G camera. Now I always take pictures of baby on Iphone and they come out great. Mine also loads stuff way faster than my 3G and smokes my first Iphone. I would and did pick the 3Gs over the 3G.

glad to hear all went ok Im going through a buch of crap with my gf's dad he is such an ass,he wasnt around through her whole life but now wants to be in the middle of our relationship its crazy. Its funny her last boyfriend put his hands on her alot and her dad did nothing and I treat her great and he doesnt want her with me lol kinda backwards to say the least u would think I was the one beating her??? The replacement is going to cost you full non contract price. If you bring in the broken one it will cost you $100 less.

Yeah, I called the Apple store yesterday, and they were like "WTF are you talking about"...I actually get a discount with my company, so a new 3GS is going to cost me the $199... HOWEVER, I actually did a search to sell your broken or outdated IPhone's, and there's a few websites that will buy them back! I got an estimate for mine @ $75-$95!

I sold my first generation for almost $200 on eBay, it helped that my screen was perfect.

You would most likely get more money selling the broken one on eBay, but $75-95 with no hassle is a nice offer.
