i think you have to go through a security clearance at each airport you intend to stop at and then you have a background check through the country's air-traffic patrolling commission. and i'm not sure on this following part but i think if you use a major airport to travel then you give the airport the right to check your cabin and luggage.

They do. I read an ESPN article on Phil Ivy (power player). He jet setted from Vegas to some Indian Casino, than over to Toronto. They searched his entire plane because of the flight plan being put in place so short before coming over the border.Originally posted by dfc View PostMy gf is watching a show on E and they were saying how people with private jets dont go through security or customs? you have to register flight plans in advance as well. TSA has a record of all planes and paths on record ahead of time to ensure safety and to make sure you're not going to get close to another aircraft. and you need to get clearance to fly over certain areas because some people have restricted air-space.

You would be fine untill you went international then you would have customs like everyone else. airport to airport domestic no one would mess with you, but they could if they wanted to.Originally posted by dfc View PostMy gf is watching a show on E and they were saying how people with private jets dont go through security or customs? exactly - when you fly domestic you have to reg each trip etc .. but you can go land at little air strips and they only search if their is reason. The minute you go outside the country, you're getting stopped on the way back home.Originally posted by ROCKETW19 View PostYou would be fine untill you went international then you would have customs like everyone else. airport to airport domestic no one would mess with you, but they could if they wanted to.

George Jung did it; long time ago though, used to land right at the airport on a military base right by my house and went and saw a farmer that I know that used to grow cocoa plants for George himself.
Pretty smart he used to grow the corn on the perimeter and all the cocoa in the inside. The farmer had a house in the Hamptons a Ferrari and and a Lamborghini back then; the corn business was good lol. He was smart though they said take 10 yrs in jail or give us all the money he kept the money hidden; people used to dig up the mountain where it was supposedly buried on. But wouldn't you know as soon as he got out of jail he built a huge ass log cabin mansion. That was always a great true story I liked.
