  • why do i hate fitness clubs?

    Well I'm at my gym and I usually go late at night to avoid the traffic but decided to go early today cause I was feeling good. So I go to warm up with my usual mile run before my workout. Can't theyr all in use so I go to the eliptical. The whole time eyeing these two guys sitting at the squat rack chatting it up. Today is leg day btw...so I finish my warm up. 7 mins. I go over and ask how many more sets they have "o we just started"...so I'm sitting here on the incline leg press waiting for them while they take there time talking it up blah blah blah...I hate this place!

    Well that was my vent thanks for listening

        no man they didn't! I'm still waiting! Its just the way they said it! It was like basically telling me FUCK YOU.

        I would love to just lay them both out.

            You need to ninja attack the equipment; when I see somebody doing something like that I:

            A) Just stand right next to them and stare at them till they feel awkward and usually rush through their sets.

            B) Wait till they move to get different weights and sneak in and start using the equipment.

            C) Ask if you can work in with them.

            But I see where you are coming from; one guy at them gym I go to brings in a novel with him to read; he does one set then about 10 minutes later he does his next set I have never had to use the same equipment as him but I would be pissed if I need it.

                  I've seen a few book readers. That shit is hilarious. They sit on the bench in front of the free weights all the time.

                        when i run into that I tell them Im jumping in and I set the pace if not Ill tell them Im trying to lift they can talk or train pick,Im a dick in the gym about shit like that.
