I agree, Jobs was giving a big fuck you to netbooks, but if I was deciding between the two, I would pick the netbook every time.

Edit: Actually bought a netbook and it is going back to Amazon for full refund. Toshiba, great reviews, love the form factor, but I have only installed firefox and office and I am getting crazy crashes. I just don't have time to be IT guy when I just want to browse. It even had XP, which is suppose to be the best for netbooks. POS is going back, ipad time for me.

It is nothing but a lot of fail. The ipad is even more stupid then the air, and that was hard to accomplish.

Don't let people think you are announcing a tablet, when you are just announcing a 10 inch ipod touch.

I am excited. I have been waiting on a mac tablet for 3 years. FLOP FLOP FLOP.

This might be worse then the macbook air.

Today is the announcement. I might have to be making a pre-order for an expensive electronic soon.

No way. I have a tablet now, and I would need it to be similar. A tablet needs a pen, the multi-touch on the iPad is wonderful, but I need a wacom pen as well. I want to be able to write on a tablet.

Have to convert all my movie files just like it is a.............................fucking ipod......hmmmmmmmm

It needs what ever big cat OS they have now...Snow shit, it needs at least a couple of ports, don't go crazy if you don't want to, but I need ports. It needs a pen, the graphic industry would then go crazy. It needs more then 16gb, I know it is a SSD and they are expensive, but fuck 16gb. It needs to be a computer and not an ipod/iphone. I'm forgetting one of the last things it needs before I buy, but I would pre-order it in a heartbeat if the above conditions were met.

I remember....longer batt life, 10 hours that was stated is bullshit, I bet you will see 10 hours doing minimal tasks (speaking of tasks, I need to multi-task on any tablet). B

Give me hell for this post, I am eating my words about the batt life, field reports are that it is great.

I use my touch a lot, but mostly at home. The shuffle is fine for the gym, might as well just have a bigger screen touch.

When I was in HS the 23" or whatever flat screen I had was cool, but the 4X" I have now is a lot better.
