I use my touch a lot, but mostly at home. The shuffle is fine for the gym, might as well just have a bigger screen touch.

When I was in HS the 23" or whatever flat screen I had was cool, but the 4X" I have now is a lot better.

Had an iphone, but realized that paying for a data plan is stupid. I would now only have one if a job payed for it.

Only place I took my touch was the gym, but my shuffle will do that job just fine. The rest of the time on the touch was spent on the couch or bed, browsing, reading, etc.... The ipad makes perfect sense for me. The netbook I bought was a terrible windoze pile of shit, it is being returned.

I will rarely take the ipad out of the house, and when it do it won't take much effort to carry 1.5 lbs to my car. The lack of it fitting in my pocket is the point, I am tired of working on a 4" screen.

But you have to understand what an iPad was geared for. It is a tablet marketed as a netbook. You can't even state those things in that pic as negatives.

All of the features for a netbook are laptop features. A netbook is considered a small laptop and the only thing different from a laptop and a netbook are the deletion of an optical drive and a slightly smaller size.

An iPad was designed as it was to do what it does. I'll go feature by feature for the pic:
No physical keyboard: reason they did that was for portability and ease to use when on the go. The touch keyboard is actually quite easy to use.
Widescreen: Turn it sideways and it's a widescreen.
Webcam: Why does it need a webcam? They didn't put one in there for a reason. Rumor is the next version will have one. Who knows?
Card reader:It wasn't made to use one, however they created one in order to upload pictures right to it.
Expansion ports: Again wasn't made to use this. If you need that buy a laptop. The iPad was made for other tasks in mind.
Removable battery: Apple is doing away with this on all of their products. Yes it is a pain, but their batteries last longer than ones used on no apple products.
Flash support: Apple is moving away from flash on all of their smaller portable devices.
Video out: Why would you need this? Again buy a laptop if you absolutely need this.
Open platform: If you read articles on this Apple does not want this because they want to keep things as simple as possible. The minute you make open platform, you start getting away from what it's main purpose is. Get a laptop if you want this.
Multitasking: This is coming later this year.
Storage: why would you need 160GB of storage for something that is not to be used like a laptop?
Price: Yes the price may be higher but look at the product you are getting.

I became a fan when I actually used one and realized what it was created to be used for. It wasn't made to be used like a laptop.
