Gun owners - question

I am working on getting my license to carry and I'm trying to decide between 3 pistols (mind you I have small hands so while these may be a bad fit for some, they all fit quite well in my hand).

Glock 26 SubCompact 9mm
S&W M/P 3" 9mm
Para Ordnance Warthog .45 (normally wouldn't go here, but I feel they did a good job w/this one)

For the house I am going to go with a Mossberg 590a1 spx 9shot - unless you guys can think of a better home protection shotgun, to me it's light, short and fast.

Any advice guys ?

Go to a gun shop/range and rent all three. shoot a hundred roundS out of each one and get the one that you shoot best.

As for a home defense shotgun you don't need fancy or semi auto. Get a cheap mossberg 500 used and cut the barrel to the shortest legal length. I run mine full length. All you have to do is pull the wood "plug" out and you will hold plenty of 00 buck.

If you reall want a badass semi auto though, get a saiga 12. They're gas operated similar to an AK and you can get 10 round mags and 20 round drums... They are fun as hell

edit: FWIW I would go with a compact (4 inch) unless you would have a hard time concealing it. Depends on how you carry

Of the three you picked I would personally go with the Glock.

yeah, saiga 12s are awesome - I've seen a guy shoot one before, I have shot all three of those pistols before - I like the Glock the most, gotta use fmj's for it but that is fine. I'm more curious as to whether you guys think anyone of those three stands out as a definite NO, due to a flaw or what not I'm not aware of.

lol, they haven't gotten in the way yet - but yeah it's kinda fucked up being 6'1 and having small ass hands with a 12 1/2 foot.

Glocks are gay HK FTW. My buddy just showed me his carry gun its made by Karr or something like that it was a 40cal very light and very small. although I never heard of the brand that dont mean anything.

I love the glock, the S&W MP is a beautiful gun and it fired well, spent an afternoon at a range in CT recently - I had the above mentioned, a 1911, and my friend had an mp5 and M4A1 - it was a great time.

I was shocked at how well the warthog felt - honestly it was my favorite "feel" - but I'm just not sold on it holding up + it's around $300 more.

Why not the glock 21? then you can switch the barrell to a 22 round for the firing range.

Konitz - the 26 fits me like a glove bro. I like the 21, don't get me wrong - but the 26 is more what I am going for for multiple reasons.

I'm gonna get 2 of the 3 listed rado - I want that warthog but honestly I am just so skeptical that it won't hold up well, I know they supposedly got it dialed down right on that gun - but I dunno. It's just such a nice gun. So yeah, I know I'm going for the glock 26, and the S&W MP is just so damn solid. Can't wait to get them.
